Indigenous People's Day

One of the most special parts of being a Native-lead organization is that we can put our knowledge, energy, dreams, and passion back into the culture, planting seeds figuratively and literally, with prayers of hope so the next generations will have the knowledge, tools and experience to navigate life in an quickly changing world.

Whether it’s providing Šmuwič language or basketry classes to our community or teaching our Chumash Tribal Marine Protected Areas education programs to school-aged children, learning best practices in creating a native seed bank and regenerative ag farm, our traditional cultural knowledge and life ways guide everything we do.  

Indigenous People’s Day is Everyday!! We are still here and sharing our story through the work we do.
